Hi all,

I'm using MP 1.0.2.0 with TV Server

I'm facing an issue with MP with TV and video, in fact, whatever the decoder I select in MP, others are selected

In MP Conf advanced mode, , I select for TV to use the following decoder:
MPEG-2 Video: MPC...
H.264 Video: ffdshow...
MPED/AC3 Audio: MPC...
AAC audio: MONOGRAM AAC Decoder

I run TV-Server conf, make a preview of a channel and using graphstudio connect to the graph in order to check used decoder.
In the facts, MP use DScaler as a video decoder and ffdshow as audio decoder
Check this snapshoot:

For video, I select
MPEG-2 Video: MPC...
H.264 Video: ffdshow...
MPED/AC3 Audio: MPC...
AAC audio: MONOGRAM AAC Decoder
and finaly, when watching a movie, ffdshow is used for the video and audio....
Take a look at this screenshot:

There is something wrong here... I try using diferent decoder, setting ffdshow as video decoder, it is the same.

Why MP is not using the decoder selected ?

If you have any clue, you are welcome :D

TV server config doesn't use codecs that are configured for MediaPortal. It simply lets the directshow to build the graph, by using what ever codecs the system has been configured to prefer (by codec merit values).

Please check if MediaPortal itself uses the correct codecs. This can be checked in similar way by running MP in windowed mode.

But the Video playback don't (see my second screenshot).

    Any suggestions ?

The file you have used is AVI (based on the source filter). So it cannot be decoded with MPC (as most likely that AVI wont contain MPEG2 video).

Also the audio is most likely something else than mpeg, so that why ffdshow has been used.

Hi tourettes, thanks for your support, and your good remarks...

I'm ok with video playback, but still have an issue with TV. I'm still convinced that wrong decoder is used. Check the following screenshot:

I select ffdshow fo h264 in MP conf for TV. As you can see, the decoder is in the list of decoder involved in the decoding process but not active!
    Any suggestions ?
