MP dosnt recognize dvd drive (1 Viewer)

media portal dosnt recognize mi external usb dvd drive, how can I config MP to recognize it?

    How do you know? Do you have a DVD in it and MyDVD doesn't run? Or do you need to point to it by adding it under movie folders in the configuration?

    the problem is, I have a usb dvd drive (external obviusly) and when i go to play the dvd, it only shows my mounted dvd (daemon) and not my fisical dvd (usb dvd drive) how can i add the dvd drive, dont find it in the configuaration

    Does the DVD drive appear in Windows explorer?
    As far as I know, if it shows there then it should show in MP.
    Then again, I haven't got one so don't know for sure and can't test I'm afraid.

    I don't think so, because MP has no way of knowing at which timestamp the external player stopped playback. Best way to achieve this would be to use an auto-resume feature in your external player itself. (MPC-HC can do that, I don't know about VLC)
