MP freezes after switch to 1080i HD channels (1 Viewer)

Hello all,

big big problem, since upgrading to 1.0.2. HD channels (Sky Sport HD, Sky Discovery HD, Sky Cinma HD, Anixe HD) cannot be seen. MP freezes when switching to these channels. Please have a look at the attached logfiles.

With 1.0.0.0. RC4 all was rockstable (except the weather when weather.com decided to change API)

I have issues with BBC HD and ITV HD, some codec's will let them work and some wont... have you tried changing the codecs?

thx for ur suggestion. I did with crappy CoreAVC. Same thing, preview works....MediaPortal GUI doesn't....

With Vista you should have EVR anabled and aero.
The easist way is to go to computer, rightclick properties.
You will see a figure, probably 1,0.
Run it to increase it. If you have >= 3.0 you have aero afterwards.

Please let me know if this solves your issue.

thanx for the advice but aero as well as EVR was enabled. also wait for verical refresh in CCC is enabled.

Meanwhile I got it working with a little workaround. I had a look in the logfiles and it seems that timeshiftbuffer causes the freeze when switching from SD to HD (1080i). So every time I intend to switch to HD I press stop (which clears the ts buffer) and then switch to HD. I can live with that but it decreases the WAF alot.
broadcasts in 720p ( arte HD ) is not affected.

Now, I experienced another issue. HD live TV looks like a stop-motion movie ( as well as formerly recordings .ts from HD 1080i channels). when pressing shift+1 it shows a lot of drops and jitter. 1.0.0.0. RC 4 hadn't had that problem. So what is the change the devs have made? WithDVB Viewer it works better

This is a serious problem and I'd be glad if one of the devs could explain and fix.

Tried vista 32 bit? This works great over here.

no didn't do that, cause I' am not in the possesion of Vista 32.
Ther's a long thread in Support section with same topic...so I'll clarify there.

I think we need to catch up here.

I did a clean install of 1.0.2. now and added a new , more powerful gfx card (Radeon HD 4550). But the plroblem is still there. when switching from a SD channel to a HD Channel MP freezes.

When pressing "Stop" and confirm with "stop" right after that I can see HD channel.

Does anybody has the same problem?
