First of it al...Great great work!!!

The update worked almost perfect for me. There is one issue i m running in to...

When I switch from TV to menu or movie.. Mp will hang his self up.. Crashes... You have to reboot your computer
First I watch tv, no prob,... then watch a movie,... iso or video ts.. . no prob... Then go back to tv,.. no prob, then go to menu and MP freezes

Logs Please!
Offhand it sounds like a codec issue. Maybe you have installed some codec pack? (Don't!)
Try changing codecs in configuration.

Sorry but this report is currently 100% useless.

Do the following:

1. Start -> programms -> Team MediaPortal -> MediaPortal -> MediaPortal Debug
2. MediaPortal will start then
3. now reproduce the error you reported
4. then close MediaPortal
5. attach the created mediaportal_logs.zip to the FIRST post of this thread.

please go to configuration.exe
enable advanced mode in the top right
then go to the directshow section -> video renderer and set "EVR" to be used.
then try again

this make things worse.... Now when i switch a normal digital channel to a HD channel it freezes and i can't even make a bug report.


These log are from the normal vrm9 mode.

did you enable the "automatic decoder settings" option in configuration?
i hope not....

for some reason none of the codecs you have installed is able to connect to the tsreader filter (in your evr logs).

i have nerver seen such a issue as you reporten in your first post.
sadly the logs dont help me any further either.

My automatic decoder was enabled, so i diabled it.
Channel switching works fine on SD channels, HD got freeze

Start a movie works fine, but quiting gives black screen. When i go to Live tv i get the sound but no pitc

imo. that "feature" should never ever have been added. just causes problems because merit system is used rather then the codecs you set in configuration.

Your logs are full of these entries.

Did everything work with RC2?
Because somehow i can not imagine that it did when i look at these logfiles.

Have you done a clean installation of RC3 or re-used old files from RC2?

Everything worked in RC2,.. sometime black screen when I switched sd channel to HD. But the rest worked fine.

I did a update from RC2 to RC3

The log above is with EVR instead of VRM9
