TV-Server Version: 1.0.2
MediaPortal Version: 1.0.2
MediaPortal Skin: Blue
Windows Version: Vista Home Premium 32Bit
CPU Type: AMD Turion 64
Memory: 4 GB
Video Card: ATI Radeon Xpress 1200
Video Card Driver: 8.442

I try to use MediaPortal to connect to a TV-Server (running on WinXP) over network. This worked some months ago, but after updating the system and MP to 1.0.2, MP hangs on startup. I see the loading window going through all steps, but when the MP home screen should appear, I see the desktop again an MP is only shown in the taskbar (it is not possible to activate it). After waiting 30 minutes I killed the MP process.

If I start MP Configuration and go to the Plugins section, MP Configuration seems to hang.
I tried to do a complete uninstall with all user data, restarted the machine, deleted all left user folders and installed MP some days after - no change.

What can I do?

First: "Stripped" OS versions may cause strange behavior!
    Second: Here it comes....

I, from looking over a stupid amount of forum post have come to the same conclusion about the stripped OS and have decided to revert back to my legit version

of vista hopefully i can get mediaportal to work on that, if not I wont hesitate to call on your advice, thanks again

I don't use a stripped OS version. What system info should be provided? I try to get the logs later.
