MP 'hangs' when playing music (1 Viewer)

Hi guys,

I have a strange thing when playing music from cd or from HD/network.
The system starts playing the music but stopping or going back to the previous/main screen doesn't work.
The commands from the remote control are not doing anything and the only way to get it working again is to switch MP from full-screen to window.
Doing this, give a typical windows error 'ploink' sound and once I saw a white text on a black background; it was something about the 'MyMusicPlayingNow.xml' file.
At that point, the system reacts again.

Since I'm a new MP/mediacenter user, I don't know what has to happen with the 'Now Playing' little window but this remains black.

Does anyone have a clue why this happens and how to solve this?

Sounds like a skin issue. Does the skin you are using provide a MyMusicPlayingNow.xml file? If not, perhaps try copying from BlueTwo.

Hi jawbroken, that was exactly the problem: skin issue and the file was not in that directory.
I noticed that there are more files missing, even though I didn't play around with the contents of these directories.
Apparently the files are just not in the in the source archive; I just noticed that the MyMusicCoverArtGrabber* files are also missing.

using svn releases no other skins than B2 are supported!

Hi rtv, I thought that MP 0.2.0.4 was a stable patch - not an svn - and therefore 'without any "big" faults'.
