When starting playback of certain recordings the MP client hangs. The only way to recover is to kill MP from the task manager. If you need the .ts file to troubleshoot let me know and I will upload it.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Go to recorded TV section
2. Start playback of recording

After 3-4 minutes I killed MP with the task manager. It hangs on the same recordings every time. All other recordings play fine. The logs are collected using debug-mode.

    Hi,
Seems weird, MP doesn't even try to play it.
Does it happen with the same files every time & every time you watch tv before selecting recorded tv & the file is on the HDD?

Think the developers would need a sample of that file, but lets see

    Regards

When you think it has hung, try pressing the stop button on your remote.

This happened to me this morning, and nothing seemed to respond except 'stop'. Once I had done this, the recording played fine the second time. I didn't have time to get logs yet.

    I was having same symptoms.

Changing mp2,mp3 codecs inside ffdshow audio config helped me, no issues now.

    Try it and reply.

Thank you for looking at my logs.

It happens every time with the same file regardless of wathing LiveTV before or not, the file is a recording stored on the local HDD.

MP does not respond on the STOP button. I tried both keybord 'B' and STOP on remote. No change.

I tried now with changing codecs in ffdshow, no change. I also tried changing from ffdshow to PowerDVD 10 audio codec, no change.

This new logs are collected with debug-mode and is showing what i wrote above.

    1. Starting recording without starting LiveTV first.
    2. Used different audio codecs for MP1/2 and MP3
    3. Pressed the stop button after MP hanged.
    4. Killed MP with task manager

Where is the best place to upload the .ts file?

I have now uploaded the clip, filename: "Ingen bor i skogen - E4.ts"

I can also add that playing this file in WMP is working without any issues.

Any chance this is caused by a small amount of HDD space - his D:\ drive shows 4.3 GB free of 132 GB available. This is not a great deal of space if he's timeshifting. I'd discovered this as well on TV server crashes two-three times after system boot thread and was embarrassed for such realizing I'd created the issue :-0

The crash happens regardless of timeshift beeing active or not. So I would say it's not the case here. It's not the server that crashes, it's the client.
