MP/moving-pictures Problem (1 Viewer)

Hi,

This is my first post - I've read all the rules, and I can't find anything similar, so here goes...

When using moving pictures, the GUI sometimes freezes. It seems to be when a new backdrop is being loaded, but only sometimes, and it doesn't seem to be caused by the same backdrop each time (so sometimes a backdrop will load, and sometimes it crashes MP). I think this is related (this only happens in moving pictures), but 720p MKV playback in moving pictures starts fine, then gets progressively worse. The video loses sync with the sound, then it gets really juttery and finally the video moves really fast until it catches up with the sound. Sometimes the video gets stuck in a loop for a few seconds before continuing.

Video is located on a CIFS file share and run across an 802.11g wireless network, but Windows' task manager shows no problems with bandwidth. Additionally, I'm not running out of memory, and the processor is running at about 65-70% when playing back HD content.

Full hardware summary below, and logs leading to the last crash are attached.

Please let me know if I've forgotten anything.

Thanks!

Hmmm...

I'm thinking the problem might be my use of onboard graphics - at least for the playback issue. I've got two boxes I'm using here as front-ends, which are nowhere near similar in terms of hardware spec, but they're using the same install of Windows, Codecs and MP/Moving-Pictures and only one has this issue. The other machine doesn't have the crashing problem in moving pictures like this one does, so I'm not sure if it's the scrolling thing that's the problem.

I can't find it now, but I did come across a post that mentioned problems with 1.1.0.0 on Intel graphics being a problem - even with the latest drivers.

I might try a new video card (I haven't got a spare one, per se, but I do have one I can borrow from another machine temporarily. I'll let you know how it goes.
