I am running BeyondTV 4.5 as my TV server in the basement. This machine runs BeyondTV link 4.5 in my living room. I use MP as the front-end. MP performs all HTPC functions except TV & PVR. I use the Multi-shortcut to launch BTV from the main MP menu. All works GREAT except..........

Once I launch BTV link from MP and watch LIVE TV for about 20 minutes, the system shuts down - goes into S3 sleep. If I launch BTV link externally (therefore no MP running) it stays up and runs no problem.

If I launch BTV from MP and watch RECORDED TV the machine is fine.

I have turned off all screensavers and I have set the computer to "Always Running" mode. I have de-selected the S3 option in the General Settings of MP.

All I can assume is that MP is doing something in the background while BTV is running. This one is strange and not really expecting any answers.... crossing fingers..... any ideas?

Open up Mediaportal config program and check in the section "Plugins | Power Scheduler" is it enabled ?
If so I'd guess that when you launch BTV, Mediaportal is left at the home screen so it thinks it's idle and goes to sleep...

I'll try this when I get home tonight. Thanks for the hint.

Quick Question - is PowerScheduler on by default when you do a fresh install?
