MP shouldn't autoplay an inserted DVD when it's already playing something else. (1 Viewer)

When you insert a dvd into the computer it should supress autoplay action if MP is already playing something else (TV recording, Movie etc).

thats why there is a option in setup for autoplay "ask everytime ..."

if you set it to "never ask ..." this is an expected behaviour since MP has to run the DVD/CD when inserted.

Well, I don't agree. The reason why someone watches a movie is because he.. well.. wants to see that movie ;-)
So, if you insert a disk while it is playing something (it may even be so that this computer isn't a standalone dedicated htpc machine and my allow other ppl to work on it while others are watching MP (like in my setup)) I think that MP should suppress all questions about what to do with the disk until the movie has ended or is being stopped by the user.

I can think of all kinds of reasons to insert a disk without wanting it to stop the current movie playback.

When no movie is being played, then the popup is completely valid of course.

So, it should just wait to ask until playback stops.
    In my humble opinion ;-)

decision of the team -> not a bug

if a user wants do avoid this behaviour he has to use autoplay "ask everytime ..."
