MP splashscreen freezes when initializing DirectX (1 Viewer)

When I start MP, the splashscreen freezes when it is initializing DirectX. I have installed the latest DirectX driver. I have no problem starting MP on the same PC with Windows XP installed... Can anyone help me out? Thanks!

Have some problem. Sometimes it freez avfter wake up from hibernate. If i restart it works again.

Video Card: NVIDIA Geforce4 Ti 4200 with AGP8x

The requirement for MediaPortal is a DirectX 9 capable card w/min 128 MB memory. Yours is only DX8, so this might be your problem, although I know ppl are using MP w/DX8 cards, it is not recommended.

There is a box you should tick in MP config for your hibernation problem.
