Hi, My MP 1.1.1has stopped all of a sudden on win 7, tv service won't start. tried unistalling, reinstalling, system restore but nothing. attached is the error message I get, does anyone know how to fix this?
could you post your logs (C:\Users\All Users\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\log)? It looks like a firewall or port issue, but your logs will tell the story.
Hi Davidf, I have attached logs, hope 1 of these will help. I am using x3 quad sat cards in 1 box but have had no trouble until now.
thanks in advance for any help
It looks like you reinstalled only Mediaportal client, not TVserver. If you can please uninstall both the server and client and then reinstall, if not then read on...
I've got a few questions which hopefully will help.
1. What firewall are you using (windows or a thirdparty)?
2. Are you runnning a "single seat" setup or a multi-seat setup.
3. Could you type "ipconfig" at the command prompt and post the results.
4. Start TV-Server Configuration and check that the server name matches the one configured in the TV Client in Mediaportal configuration.
Hi Davidf, yes Im sure both were installed as tv server sometimes started other times not when got tvservice error, I seem to hav a issue with the network controller & wouldn't settle for up to 3-4 minutes after a reboot "maybe a stack issue", tried updating drivers, also rolling back driver etc but no diff. I use static ip addresses for my network with windows firewall with single seat setup but have kids pcs with clients on too. Got sick of it so decided to use a drive image I saved when first built system "express recovery2" & that has sorted all issues, this time no windows updates just in case as issue may have appeared after last batch installed.

Completely uninstall MP, MySQL, and MariaDB.

Ran into this problem following an otherwise sucessful upgrade from MP 1.34 x64 to MP 1.35 x64 the CEC Remote plugin which I use just to control volume and standby, will no longer put my devices (TV & AVR) to sleep when the HTPC is put in standby. Also when I wake up the HTPC MP closes or crashes (not sure which) as per the example in...

I can confirm that. After reinstalling MP1.31(x86) I mistakenly installed the x64 version MpUrlSourcesplitter. Then I got the error. After uninstalling MpUrlSourcesplitter(x64) I installed the MpUrlSourcesplitter(x86). But the error message still comes.
