Hi guys,

I'm having trouble with My TV Series at the moment. When I'm in MP and select My TV Series my list has disappeared and there's a message saying no items found. When I go in to Configuration there are no shows in my list. If I reselect their location then it fills up with all my shows. I then click on Import but it comes up with some error messages:

"Commit failed on this command ..... Corrupt detailed database disk image is malformed query.update online series ..."

It also states that it's found 891 shows, but again seems to faoil translating this to the database?

Any ideas???

Exactly the same problem and symptoms here. Same error message. Anyone have any suggestions? My guess is that MP-TV Series cannot get to the DB.

BTW, I recently had the BSOD problem that wipes out the mediaportal.exe.config file, but I restored it. Related??

    Rename the database...

I found the location of the My TV Series database file (the location is on the first tab of the TV Series setup). Renamed this file, started the import again and everything appears to be back. All my custom matchings between TV Series and files are lost though.

Next time I will rename things at the file level to get better matches on the import rather than manually matching up files with TV series for the ones that don't match automatically. Live and learn...

    and by the way...

If you have many TV Series that don't immediately match up with Series in the TVDB you might find yourself having to ack 20 dialogs about series matches while trying to watch television. Not something to make the wife happy!!

try tvrename, it uses TVDB to rename files and will rename files however you want, it even lets you know when it's airing next and if you're missing episodes from a series.
