Hi,

When watching TV in MP with my Pinnacle PCI card the CPU starts to run at full speed and causes the TV to stutter. I've disabled the EPG grabber. Tried all kinds of different Video Codecs, even Pinnacle's own which I can choose in MP Setup Utility.
Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong?

Thanks.

    My experience has been that it is usualy one of two things:
    1) The Codecs you running...this has given me ages of problems. Now I only use MPV/MPA.
    2) Fragmented or Over-Full disks....only if you are using time-shifting.

    Cheers

    I have the same problem,

    FlyDVB Trio tv tuner

    CPU usage goes to 100% when viewing Analog TV channels ONLY (both preview or fullscreen mode);

    DVB-T/S channels are always shown correctly without stutter.

    Timeshifting is always OFF.
    I tried MPV MPA codecs ... same problem !

    I have no problems with other TV software.

    I have to try to record Analog TV for a minute, without watching it (scheduled record).
    Then I would like to check if in the recorded video the stutter is present (I think no!)

    Bye
