I have all my media on a NAS drive and have the voluems mapped in windows xp.

With in MP if i go to config and import DataBase the files can be seen in MP. But once the PC is rebooted you can still see the files in MP but can play them. Is there any support in MP to keep the connection open. My network has fixed IP addresses and the files in the Mapped Volume are ok after a reboot just MP can play them?

rather than using mapped drives, you are better off using the UNC address for the drives, IE, the format of \\<ip>\share.
I have all mine set up this way.

Yeah, this is something which I´m having problems with, since the introduction in Windows NT. It's a feature called ghosted connections. You might want to try this approach :

How can I turn off/on connection ghosting?

Anyways, I would advise using UNC connections - they are far more reliable.

    cheers

still have problems with the cover art now not showing. my music is set up with folders like this Artis/ Album/track

when i scan to build the database it finds the track fine. But inside MP it shows the albums in alphibetical order ie A/albums/track

so you clikc on a folder called A then see the albums with cover art then the tracks.

How do i set this up getting really confused.
