I just intalled MP and updated it. This my first experience with MP but it seems pretty straight forward. I go to my video and add a folder off of one of my drives seperate from c:, but no matter what when i go back to the confiuration what i add is never there its always c:blahblah\mydoc\myvideos. How do i get it to read form file son my G: drive.

Also will MP play .VOB files right form teh folder like MCE05?

Thanks for any help you guys can give me, I'd rathe rnot have to go buy MCE05.

Oh and im running XPpro, if you need any moe info just ask.

Make sure that MediaPortal is closed when you're adjusting configuration.exe. Otherwise your settings don't get saved. Later MP versions show a warning now when that constellation is given.

The only thing I've gotten to change is the skin, Im not sure what it is that im doing wrong. I know i have it closed, i try to add a location it doesnt show up so i try remapping the location thats there and it just wont get off of c: something something\mydoc\myvideos

ok heres something else that didnt work I didnt open MP i open up the configurator then i mapped to the drive i wanted, exited the setup, then went back into the setup and it had changed itself back to the previous folder

Update:
Ok well i reinstalled it to my G drive and it still only accepts the myvideo folder, but i can now view any folders that are in the myvideos folder on my g drive.

So is there anyway to have MP play straight up .vob files from the folder?

update, i go the VOBs to work now.
