Hi Tony, The specs are: Amd x3 705e 6gb ram drive time shift 2gb ram Ati hd5670 Hauppuage s2 tuners Intel x25e ssd for os and mepo Win x64 ATI 11.2 Mepo 1.2 (no disk io patch) Latest saf5 (released today) I'll try more testing when my other half isn't using it :D J. Hi there, I switched back to the MP Audio Renderer dshowhelper file (So my other half could watch TV ok). Definately better with the old version than the newer version. On SD content with live TV, I've watched 140000 frames - only 6 dropped (which might have been when I switched to the channel). One thing I do get in the EVR log though is: MFVP_MESSAGE_INVALIDATEMEDIATYPE Which matches with the following in the mediaportal log: PlaneScene: PresentImage() dispose surfaces Not sure if its relevant or not??? Interesting links about it (but not sure if theres any useful info though): MFVP_MESSAGE_INVALIDATEMEDIATYPE Slowing Down EVR EVR Presenter Sample stuttering and dropping frames How to Write an EVR Presenter (Windows) J. Hi there, I have done some quick testing with v69 (only just got access to the TV for 15 minutes!) I thought my problems were caused by the iPimp plugin, specifically the clientcontroller. I have noticed at exactly the same time the dropped frames occurs I have the following in the MePo log: 2011-03-04 22:59:42.062277 [Debug][(24)]: plugin: MPClientController - iPiMP ping on 10.105.105.255 2011-03-04 22:59:42.062277 [Debug][(24)]: plugin: MPClientController - iPiMP ping data htpc,00-26-18-86-51-F8,55667,True,True The weird thing is the dropped frames recover (albeit after a long period of time) or ifI change channel - even a very quick channel up and down (such that it doesn;t change the channel on the screen) resolves the issue. I've seen the issue about 4 times now, and most the time they all coincide with the above entry about the MPClientController. I can understand a plugin causing a blip to rendering - but surely Mepo/dshowhelper should be able to recover very quickly? Maybe thats the different between the old version of the dll, the old version is either less sensitive, or better at self recovery? Maybe I spoke too soon... I have just got stuttering issues, but nothing was recorded about the MPClientController (but most the time they do coincide) :( I will try and disable/uninstall the iPimp MPController. Thanks, J.
