Error:
Service MediaPortal 2 Server Service (MP2-Server) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.

I keep getting that error installing.
Fresh install of Windows 10 LTSB, updated. Admin.
Installed Kodi, NextPVR with no issues. HDHomerun software (HDHomerun Prime). Working.
Checked Firewall. Everything looks open.
Saw an old post about NET4.5.1, but that was from 2015. Looks like i have v4.0.30319
i noticed that .NET 4.7.1 needed popped up - should i install that??

Install Log shows:
...\MP2-Setup.msi,....
Error 0x80070643: Failed to install MSI package

thanks for any help !!!

Nevermind !!!
FYI .... i installed .NET 4.7.1 and it installed !!

I am having the same problem with Windows 7 Pro. What does this mean: = "

What is it - the problem is a service not starting so what was the resolution?

Setup logs needed. Something is not getting automatically installed on your system.

You can use the setuplogging.bat to run the installer. This will create a very detailed log of all install activities.
