i have now been using MP for years and i love it. But still, i want to make a suggestion :
Today, the best way of listening / organizing / finding music for me is using the 'Album Artist' view (because i mainly have complete mp3 albums).
whenever i want to add an album, here is what i do :
- copy songs to /music/artist/album folder
- use a tagging tool to set and/or clean tags (so that i get 'Pixies' only not 'The Pixies' or 'pixies'...)
- refresh music database in MP/my plugins/configuration
what would be cool :
having a batch script running daily which :
- list the new/modified music files since the last run (based on log date for ex)
- force the music file tagging (album= current fodler, artist = upper folder...)
- launch an MP music database refresh...
what do you think ?
