MPEI integration for Moving Pictures (1 Viewer)

Is integration with Media Portal Extension Installer planned for a future release?
It'd be a great way to be informed of new releases...

Yes, now that MPEI is a part of a stable version of MediaPortal we plan to incorporate it in the future. Most likely beginning with Moving Pictures 1.1.

Hi, has any further thought been given to MPEI integration?

It's something I still want to do but I still have reservations with MPEI. The installer still visually looks quite bad and with the last release they added some changes that required everyone to rerelease their plugin even though there were no functional changes in MediaPortal requiring it. I have little enough time these days as it is, extra work for no reason doesn't help.

That said we need to switch to MPEI eventually. So it's just a matter of time I suppose.

Thanks for your thoughts. From a user's perspective MPEI is undoubtedly convenient. You can update a whole bunch of plugins in a few clicks.
