MPExTuneCmd Plugin - feature request (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I have just recently started using MP having moved on from a enhanced TiVo via a brief flirtation with MythTV.

I am using MPExTuneCmd to change channels on my Sky STB via SkyControl (http://www.heenan.me.uk/control-sky-from-pc/) a controller for SKy STB using the RF2 port instead of IR(http://www.heenan.me.uk/control-sky-from-pc/).

This works flawlessly with MP using the MPExTuneCmd plugin bar the problem I have 2 sky receivers (one on FreeSat), the SkyControl hardware is capable of controlling 2 STBs but I need to suppy an additional parameter, this being the box to control which equates to the TVcard currently in use.

Currently MPExTuneCmd just appends the channel number to whatever command is supplied, what is required is a find/replace of a substition variable - currently card & channel for my needs but there may be more.

So I guess the question is if this plugin is still being maintained and if so where is the best place to suggest/request changes.

I do not "think" this is possible with MP currently.
But it appears with the new TV Server in development that multiple STBs
will be possible though it will still mean someone has to update this plugin.

I am not sure this is possible but just a thought, if there are different
channels for each STB could you setup a batch file to parse the channel
parm and set you STB parm.

Since I sent this I have a quick look through the code and the required info is available to the MPExTuneCmd plugin but is not used.

Going to install VS5, dust off the programming skills and see how easy this is to amemd.
