First I took the road of .iso, but with results of getting the 20th century fox logo, " this disc is not formatted to play in this region", I decided to go the route of AVI.

I have downloaded Media Slayer, but I cannot find out how to incorporate Mencoder or MPlayer with it to rip AVI files.

Furthermore, I don't know where to find either MPlayer or Mencoder. I tried downloading Mplayer from its Author site, but cam out with a .bz2 file. I have no idea what this file is, but I do know that it is not working :(:(.

If anyone have any suggestions, please let me kno:Dw.

handbrake may be an easier option.

    HandBrake

mplayer is traditionally Linux software (there are windows binaries available though) bz2 file probably the Linux version.

Download latest mplayer package from here MPlayer on win32

You should also install online decrypter as Mencoder/Mplayer can only deal with css but not most recent DVD copy protections.
