MPTray and Vista (1 Viewer)

Maybe it should be posted in feature request section, if so please somebody move it to right place.

I use MPTray to launch MP in Vista environment, unfortunately when I press green button on my MCE remote both MP and MCE are run even when all services regarding MCE are stopped and not intended to run in services.msc. If I also stop ehtray.exe (which is started from registry run key which I can not change because win always restores it) MPTray launches only MP and everything is OK (if forget about focus not placed on it).
Is it possible to modify MPTray so it will be configurable with choice of starting MP or MCE (in some registry key or config file or event startup switch) just like in MCE Replacement driver, and when MP is configured it will kill ehtray and prevent it from runnig again ?
Is it possible for MPTray (in MP mode) to start MP with correct screen according to button pressed on MCE remote or keyboard ie 'My Pictures' or 'My Videos'?
Or at least, may somebody know how to permantly disable ehtray from launching and will to share this with others?

Have you tried replacing ehtray with some dummy executable?

I believe that should work, unless Vista decides to restore it.

Yes, I've tried this already, but Vista does not allow me to change this file (tried replacing, renaming etc.)

I Disabled the Windows Media Center Receiver Service (I think that was what it was called) and only MP starts. I'll see how it fairs with time.

I also have the MC update scheduled task disabled, due to Australian EPG getting trashed by rewritten registry keys by that task. So this may also be the one that rewrites the key for your ehtray.

Thanks Greg for tip, but it does not work for me. I have stopped mcupdate in scheduler, rebooted. Again, when I press green button both MC and MP are launched and ehtray.exe reappears in running processes and registry run section.

Have not any idea....
Anyone..!?
