MPTray (1 Viewer)

Windows Version: XP w/ SP2
Remote: MCE Remote (IRtrans receiver, with zalman hd 160)

Hi,

I installed MPtray and rebooted, yet pressing the green button does not load MP. Using task manager i can see mptray.exe running. There is also no new icons in my system tray (not sure if there's supposed to be any). Any ideas?

Are you using MPtray or MPTrayMod?

- extract from the zip file and copy all files in \Program files\Team mediaportal\mediaportal;
- open a command prompt, change dir to \Program files\Team mediaportal\mediaportal;
- run the .bat file (mptray_install.bat, i don't remember);
- take note of any error;

- press the green "windows" button on the remote. Not the green "teletext" button.

Mediaportal should open. If you have Windows Media Center installed you need something else to do, I think.

I did exactly what you describe, and nothing. The program its not starting, I dont have anything in the Traybar, but I have it working if I go to the Tasks Monitor.

Im using Vista Ultimate x64.

You need another compiled version for x64, had the same problem.

Just to clarify, in traybar you will never see anything

only mptray.exe in task manager..

Have you tried mptray4irtrans? Not sure if it works for Vista x64

Hmmm no. Will try. Its the same thinggie?

MPTray Mod x64 didnt work...

I must say I deactivated the three Media Center services.
