MPTT and MP1.2 issue? (1 Viewer)

When I start MPTT I get an error message saying: Incorrect BASS.DLL version 2.4 required"

Since I just updated to MP 1.2, I assume that's what's causing it, or?

shouldn't be.
I can't see a correlation between MP and MPTT in this sense.

Can you make a test please and copy the file basscd.dll from MediaPortal into the MPTT folder?

this is:
<mediaportal install dir>\MusicPlayer\plugins\audio decoders\

to

<mptt install dir>\bin\Bass\

Tried it, no difference - the same error message pops up along with the splash screen, and then it freezes.

Still no luck :-(

Tried both changes on the same install, and separately and together on a fresh install (both V. 2.00.3960.40336)

The only change to my system was the MP upgrade but if the two programs use separate BASS engines, the two shouldn't be connected but it's the only obvious connection I can find!

hm, i can only think of some other program using BASS and this is in the Path.

i will see, if i can prepare a special debug version for you, which lists a bit more info for the dll loaded.

A local issue on my computer It doesn't seem anybody else has this problem.

please use Windows explorer to check the properties of bass.dll and bass.net.dll in the bin folder.
tell me the version and dates

both are v.2.4.7.0 and dated 30/11-2010


bass.dll is located at C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MPTagThat\bin\Bass
bass.net is located at C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MPTagThat\bin\

- I assume this is correct?
