Wanted: The ability to use multiple HID devices with Media Portal
Description:
I have several HID devices that I can use as remotes. I can use my Playstation 2 Controller, which is connected via USB and reports as a HID device, my Buzz! Controllers, which are USB as well, and are used every now and again for my quiz game, and my Wii remote, which is via bluetooth.
Often, I'll be playing a game on my HTPC and are using the PS2 to navigate menus. That's great, however if I'm not using my standard CoolReceiver remote, or my PS2 remote, but have been using my Wii remote, I want to switch effortlessly between the remotes. It's a long walk (3 steps!) to my other remote(s).
What the HID remote section in the MP setup should offer, is multiple "Profiles", whereby you set up all your buttons and keys for one remote under one profile, save, click "New Profile", set those up, and so forth. Upon MP being loaded, all the profiles are loaded so when you press a button on any remote configured, it works.
If you need any more info, let me know and I'll do my best to explain this ;D
