Is it possible to use more then 1 server in the mediaportal system?
I want to put tv-cards in more then 1 computer.
I have used mp for more then 2 years and it is a very nice system but now my system needs to expand.

We had a master/slave option some time ago but unfortunately was too buggy and so we have removed it for 1.0 release.

I think you have to wait for MPII.

    :sorry:

Or you can use For the Record which in it's most simplest form is an advanced Tv Scheduler, but it does much more than that and can utilise multiple Tv Servers, which is how I have it set up.

    MP1 MP2 Case Downsizing DE
Most (all?) small PC cases accept only ITX motherboards, which have only one PCI-E slot. So you could install only one PCI-E tuner card. A quad-tuner card would give you four tuners, but if you wanted more tuners you would need to use the TBS eight-tuner card, or use external tuners, either USB tuners (available with single or dual...

MP1 MP2 1.31.0 Cannot view Changelog anymore DE
Hi all, I don't frequently update my MediaPortal and before seeing if it's really useful I used to browse the Changelog to determine if this update is necessary for my system or not. Today I wanted to check the Changelog for version 1.34 (1.31 installed on my system) and I was asked for a “Jira” login. I tried to use the same one as...

Ok, so perhaps a solution, but not the "right" solution. On the client, within media portal configuration, under TV settings, advanced options, I switched to UNC paths instead of the default RSS, and it's working very well. Sure I had to figure out the paths, but no big deal. Maybe helpful for someone in the future. Thanks for the...
