I like the look of MP so thought I'd give it a try.

My set up:
Windows XP Pro SP3 32Bit
AMD 5050e X2 2.6GHz CPU
4GB DDR2PC800 memory ( 3.25GB is accessed by XP 32Bit)
FOXCON N A7GM-S mboard (780G chipset with onboard AMD HD3200 video)
160GB WD Sata HDD

Hauppauge Nova-S-Plus DVB-S TV tuner card
Hauppauge HVR-3000 DVB-T, DVB-S and analogue Hybrid TV Tuner card
WinTV-CI

4 Port DisEqC switch

3 Ku Band LNBs:
Sharp
Ku-LNBF
BS1R5AQ112A
L.O.: 11.3GHz
12.25 ~ 12.75 GHz
950 ~ 1450 MHz

1 C-Band LNB

I have not successfully completed configuring MP. I followed the installation instructions, however MP cannot activate my tuner cards. I created a hybrid for the HVR-3000, but it did not work: No signal strength or quality for either DVB-S or the DVB-T, and the same for the Nova-S-Plus.

I installed the dvb-hotfix and my system meets all the listed installation requirements. I have no trouble with WinTV 6 and DVBViewer. I can watch TV using the NOVA-S-PLUS and WinTV6, and record DVB-T or DVB-s from any LNB using DVBViewer and the HVR-3000

For those applications I set the LNB settings as follows:

For Ku Band: LOF1 11300, LOF2 11300, Switch 11300

For C-Band: LOF1 5150, LOF2 5150, Switch 5150

So this proves the hardware all works correctly.

I used the same settings in MP, but it could not access the tuner cards. I suspect that I have not got the settings for DisEqC correct.

My questions are:

Is 4 port DisEqC switching supported for Hauppuage cards?

Is it possible to install my 2 TV tuner cards (one being hybrid) successfully with MP in a Windows XP SP3 PC?

What might I be doing wrong?
