Just wanted to give you guys a little heads up, when I am listening to music and then switches displays, the music stops. This isn't a big deal at all, but I just wanted to give you a heads up.

Thanks for a great program, I really love it. Now I don't need my wife to run all across the house to change the movie and such, now she can focus her energy on getting me beer and "sitting" on her knees in front of me.

Pressing some keys on the keyboard?

Yes, I press Alt+U which makes catalyst(the software controlling my ATI graphics card)

I have a similar problem. When MP is playing music and I switch my TV to standby ( plasma with DVI ) later switch on the TV then windows re-detects a plug and play monitor "ting ting" sound and Mediaportal stops playng. I try to find the caus but still unclear and I don`t want to leave my 340W Plasma on while playing music

sounds to me like if you force tv-detection it will solve your problem.

How or where do I force TV detection ?

A Direct-X Device Reset can only happen when no playback is active therefore not only music but also TV, etc should stop in your case.

Hi guys,

I have the same problem on my htpc.
My htpc is connected by hdmi plug to my tv (Sony kdl40w5500).
So when I listen music I switch off my tv (ecology, economy). The music still plays.
But When I switch on my tv, windows detects a new device and the music in Mediaportal stops.
I don't have this problem with wmp11 or powerdvd9.

Do you have a solution.
