I went straight from 2.3 to 2.4.0.11. I went ahead and created an empty text file and set a custom database location to point at the empty file. Before I hit the hay I started a full import so there should be a new database to look at when I get a chance after work today. I'll let you know for sure how that goes. I did notice another oddity - Audio and Subtitle language preference doesn't seem to be sticking. Every time I go into the MA2 configuration both are set to file default. From time to time I'll run into a release that has the default audio set to English instead of Japanese and I'd prefer to always have the default be Japanese audio with English subs but that configuration doesn't appear to be saved when viewing the MA2 config. I haven't tested any "bad" files to see if the settings are actually saved or looked through the configuration file yet. I feel bad bringing this stuff up - the app is light years beyond anything else I've tried (Boxee, XBMC, Windows Media Center, Media Browser, MyMovies, YAMM, MetaBrowser, countless UPnP services, etc). I consider even doing a full re-scan of the database as a minor issue compared to the amount of work that would be required to scan, identify, and import metadata on a similar number of Movies or TV Shows. I know you're standing on the shoulders of giants with anidb and the release groups providing hashes for all files but it's still an awesome app. Love the skin support - StreamedMP was an easy step over from XBMC. Can't believe it took me so long to find it and try it out.
