This sounds awesome (both in scope and in vision). I was just today (looks at watch...well, yesterday...) trying to figure out a way that I could keep the database up-to-date so when I sat down to watch a new download I wouldn't have to kick off an update and watch something already in the database while I wait for the scan to finish. I'm torn between using the drop folder and wanting to keep my mediaportal autologin account "read only" since it's the same account the rest of the family uses to watch Media Center/Netflix/Hulu/etc. I really don't need one of the kids deleting a TB or two of videos by mistake.:wtf: Moving to a service model where the service could be hosted centrally on a WHS box or whatever would make my life a lot simpler. I might even auto-rename files for consistency.:D Adding other client interfaces like Media Center would be cool too. My biggest gripe about MA2 was how hard it was to find in the first place. For such a cool product that fits so well with the content that we're consuming I'm still amazed that there isn't more talk of MA2 in the anidb forums or BT forums. Thinking back to when I first started working with MA2, I spent more time fighting with MediaPortal and getting it all set up than I did with My Anime 2. Not that there's anything wrong with MP... It's just a huge product and more than a little overwhelming if all you're really looking to do initially is just getting anidb content displayed. I think a lot more people would be using MA2 if that barrier to entry could be lowered and the setup streamlined. That could mean other clients or through MP installation scripting. I'm getting ready to rebuild my HTPC so maybe I'll to go back and look at the docs and see if there's anything more specific I can come up with to ease the entry for "new blood." As always, can't wait for whatever you guys want to cook up next. Keep up the great work!
