my dvd's/video files skip (1 Viewer)

amd sempron 3200+
1gb ddr2
integrated graphics
128mb nvidia

1.start mp in fullscreen mode
2.go to my dvd
3.play my dvd
4.press play
5.movie plays
6. at some point during the dvd it skips a chapter could be forward or back.
7.othertimes freezes and crashes .

is this with different DVD's or just 1?
is this with a retail DVD or with just 1
is this with a physical disc or with a disk-image and daemon tools?

does it skip in Power DVD/MediaPlayer Classic?
does it skip in standalone DVD player

only happens in mp and its every dvd or disk image i watch,im getting the feeling its something to do with directx.

whatcodecs are you using ?

Plz use the default codecs MPV for video

also try PowerDVD trail and use those codecs in MP to test

ive used all codecs from mpv to nvidea pure all do the same

Hi,
leesayer, can you attach MediaPortal.log after a skip (or crash) & enable in MP Setup -> General -> Log Level to Debug (down, left)?
The zip file didn't have MP logs in it, so it's a bit difficult to try to confirm or check whats wrong

FWIW I have a pretty much identical setup and mine skips too. It also happens while watching AVIs.

If leesayer's logs show nothing I'll try capturing the event too.

I have a pretty much identical setup as you bud and I suffer this video skipping too.... all video and dvd playback suffers...... does anyone here use this media portal for well.... playing media? There has to be a fair few people suffering this problem given the number of users here.
