Ongoing My GF 8300 IGP HTPC Build (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

Newcomer here

I'm in the process of building my first HTPC based on the following components:

ASUS M3N78 PRO 8300 Motherboard
2G DDR2-800 Kingston (2 x 1GB kit) RAM
AMD AM2 X2 4850E Low Power CPU
Thermaltake 430W PSU
WD 500BG SATA II HDD
AverMedia DVB-T TV + Radio Card (A761)
Linksys Wireless-N PCI-E Card

I've installed Windows XP 2005 MCE on it, however, I prefer MediaPortal

Just a quick question - are those cheap chinese EBay Windows MCE style remote controls (with USB receiver dongle) compatible with MediaPortal?

I'm really happy with my setup, however, I want to be able to control it remotely reliably.

Advice appreciated

If they're a perfect clone of the MCE remote then they should work great.

Actually, I've decided on this one from Logitech
