My Lyrics freezes (1 Viewer)

Hi thank you for a new release. I replace all files with the new ones from the 0.12 release and had a problem with the configuration. With the new mylyrics.dll that problem was fixed right away. Now i'm testing it and the following happens (i have a clean stable 2.2.0 install of MP.

MP starts up normally... everythings seems to be working just fine, but when i enter the My Lyrics plugin the whole interface freezes while displaying "Searching for a matching lyric" I can use the F8 and F7 buttons normally but the escape key doesn't work anymore. In other words i'm stuck in My lyrics.

Also it keeps displaying the "searching" message and doesn't come up with lyrics. I tested it with a song that worked just fine in 0.11.

I tried to roll back to version 0.11 but that doesn't work neither anymore... then i get a message with "missing ... mylyrics.xml" in skins. I checked the file and it's there.

Help me! neither mylyrics is working anymore!

So far it's an excellent plugin.

UPdate: It seems the Bass player is the problem mainly. I disabled the visualisation first...that worked a bit better (i'm getting lyrics at least!) but the esc key has a slow or no response. When i disable the player completely (changed to default internal player) it works like a charm. The esc works fine now (every 1 in 20 times i have a slow reaction). My pc is a coreduo 2.9 ghz with an ati x1600 series videocard... you would expect that would be enough to play a song maybe it's some timing problem?

For the missing xml message :
sometimes if the xml has change you must delete the cache file in whitch it is stored. I don't remember the name so I have found another method.

You run the config, change the skin, run Media Portal and then again config, back to your skin and it works.

For the escape button :
I have a similar problem. When I want to go back, I have to click the back button twice, and so I go back to main screen and then I must reenter music ? I also have the bass player enabled.
I had it also in version 0.11 and thought it was related to the Lyric integration into my music.

Thanks for the xml-cache tip mega180!

In the mean time i experimented a bit further with the freeze. It seems it happens mostly when mylyrics can't find a lyric or when the error about the google key appears. When i play a song where the lyric is already in the database it appears to be working fine. (the escape key problem happens from time to time).

So i'm not sure what causes this problem...the player...the plugin, i hope the dev can find the problem.

Hey and thanks for the reports.

I have made a new version 0.121 for those using the clean 0.2.2.0 install. It is a zip including all three dll's (here). Replace the current dll's with these, and the deadlock should be gone. It solved the problem on the fresh 0.2.2.0 install I made on my computer, and should likewise on yours. You could also wait for the next release, which is planned to be released tomorrow afternoon (sunday).

The problem with the need for two presses (of e.g. BACK or ESCAPE) to return to the MP Main menu is not related to this problem. It will be solved soon, either in version 0.13 or one for the later.

It worked, much better response

I don't know what you did in such a short time but i'm happy to inform you that the problem is gone. The 0.121 dll's appears to be much much stabler than the 0.12 release. I even have the bass player back on with a decent sonique viz. The escape key works much better as well! I must admit that i changed the setting for the framerate in the screen-calib screen from 25 to 50...so my mp is more responsive than before.
