Hi

I have made a MediaPortal version of the game mastermind.

This is version 1.0 and in this version you will only be able to play against yourself.
If i know how i would have made the buttons 3D but for now they are just 2D.

In version 2.0 you will be able to compete against the computer. I gonna try to build a AI so the computer will make just good guesses.

Great work! There is a big need for more simple games ported to MP.

Could you make the selected dot to zoom bigger? It's quite hard to see what dot that is currently selected on old CRT monitors. Also, make it possible to change the dots color in the skin xml file. It can be hard to see the difference between the green and yellow dots for colorblind persons...

Cool - Going to download and give it a try. Love games on MP. It is great that developers are bringing games to MP! Thanks so much, games like this will help the WAF (Wife Acceptance Factor) of having a computer in the family/TV room!

I hope we will get configurable menus back. Need a top level games entry to not clutter my menu with all these great games

tried your plugin this morning and so far it is working great!
No bugs found

Some suggestions:

# The graphics look really bad, I am sure you noticed, too!
1. You either need somone with graphical skills to help you with the graphics or
2. Take the graphics from Tetris/Clickmania. O.K. the block are square not round but maybe a quick solution. Enough similar colours should be available.

# The "solve" button: I first thought it would do what "I give up" does, uncover the solution. Maybe it should be changed to "check line" or something.

# maybe later have a highscore list based on time or moves for the different levels?

Other than that it is working excellent. Great work

P.S. Hope you get some more feedback. It has already been downloaded over 1,000 times!

P.P.S.: Maybe optimize your download package, so it is easier to unrar it into the mp folder structure (I got folders in the folder where I thought the dll and skin files would go.)

Great plugin, !! I've always liked mastermind, in addition to the comments above the Mastermind.xml you supply for Blue Two wide should have width & height set to 1366 and 768 respectively.

This is a great version1 of the plugin though.

Hi

I have now made some changes to Mastermind.

Since i now know how to change textureFocus at runtime i have been able to use different pictures for each button instead of colored dots. This gives the gameboard a 3D look.

On the surface there isnt much new other then the new buttons and some minor changes but the big changes are under the hood. A big part of the code has been rewritten to be able to switch textureFocus at runtime.

works great except in configuration there is an error so i can't make it to my home menu because it goes standard to the plugin section in the menu... Am i the only one again who has this error in configuration.exe

Hi GannTrader,

nice game. I liked that one too in my earlier days. I have taken your plugin as sample for my Simon Say game. There is one incorecct spelling -> amature = amateur (thanks to moiristo). Not a big thing.

Maybe just disable the config, because you do not need the config. (Yes there is a small bug).
