Make sure you have movies in your video database
    Start Mediaportal
    Go to My Movies
    Change view to "Title"
Right click on a movie and choose "IMDB"
In the movie info shown, the director field will always be empty.
    Change view to "Actors"
Select an actor and press enter.
All movies that the actor appears in will be listed
Right click on of the movies and select "IMDB"
In the movie info shown, the director field will be filled with the actor you chose earlier or another actor, but not the director.

I have traced the bug to the SQL in VideoViewHandler.cs, but the construction of the SQL is really messy so I'll leave it to the developers to fix this until I get my own SVN account ;)

Anyway, :D for a great piece of software!

Well, no response here... Maybe I'm the only one annoyed by this bug... Anyway, I have written a patch and submitted it (1626146) so hopefully this will be implemented and included soon.
