I'm getting weird backround artifacts that are making dark scenes in "My Videos" play strangly..I don't know how to explain it other then a sort of rainbow of different Shades..i'm going to try to post a picture...i don't know if you can see on the wall in the backround....This happens with all Codecs(Arcsoft Realtime Mplex Filter,Arcsoft Video Decoder, FFDShow Video Decoder, MPC-Mpeg-2 Video Decoder(Gabest), Nero DVD Decoder, Nero Video Decoder) EXCEPT
CyberLink Video/SP Decoder...but none of my Keyboard Shortcuts work with that Codec....Any suggestions? Maybe i'm adjusting the wrong set of Codecs(Do i change under DVD Codecs or Video Player...if these are Video_Ts Rip's directly from DVD with no Compression) Maybe there is some setting Under FFDShow that can fix this?? Maybe its just something dumb that i'm missing?? MAybe i'm going to just have to deal with it?

Any ideas or Suggestions you can give me on this would be AMAZING! The video Quality right now isn't really up to snuff to show off....i'm trying to fix that!
First pic didn't show so well...i think you can see it much better here around the light

Somebody on AVS suggested it might be Compression Artifacts...But a Rip directly off DVD with AnyDVD...i don't use any compression....any other suggestions?

I'm going to rip another DVD tonight to compare originals and ripped versions..see if there is a difference

Just a thought...Could this be simply because i'm watching an SD Movie at 1280x720??

Or because i'm watching a 480i DVD at 720P on a 1080P LCD?

Certainly looks like compression artifacts. The fact that you ripped it directly from DVD with no compression still leaves that fact that a DVD is already compressed (mpeg2).

I'd definitely try comparing the original DVD to the rip and see if there is a difference.

Another possbility for this effect is a reduced colour palette. Ensure your video driver is set to the highest (32bit) or equivalent colour quality.

I unfortunatly lost the original Disk that came for this movie right after i ripped from a legally store purchased copy:p....But the color palette was set to 16bit instead of 32bit...Ripped Howard the Duck and Yes Man last night....Watch those two with it set at 32bit...and saw no compression artifacts....After work i'm going to check out Mall Cop again with it set at 32bit and see if it makes any difference...Thank you Stuntz!
