I can't reproduce using titan, DefaultWide with shares view or DB view.
Could you explain a little bit more about the steps to reproduce? Shares / DB view?

Hi,
0. Enable "Internet lookup for similar tracks"
1. Start MP in shares view, skin Default wide.
2. The folder structure is: Ripped CDs -> Artist -> Albums -> Tracks (of the particular album)
3. Select any track by pressing "enter" (MP starts playing the track).
4. Don't move the focus !!
5. 10sec. after starting the track MP clears all "selected items" information.

6. Move the focus (MP displays the selected item)
7. Wait for the playback of the next track and additional 10 sec. -> MP clears the selected item again.

8. Disable "Internet lookup for similar tracks" and repeat step 1...5 . Everything will be fine (i just tried out)

Im my opinion there is something wrong with the internet lookups. In older versions i didn't see this effect and the internet lookup was much faster. In the "now playing screen" it takes now app. 18 sec. until the information changes when a new track started.

Confirmed some things. DW shares, album view.
within 10 seconds:

After 10 seconds

- Selected item indeed disappears.
- Folder structure is incorrect. 801/807 should not be in there, and it changes after 10 seconds. Seems this is the total file number.

Additional, what ALSO has an effect on the results. Music > Play Settings > [ ] Add All Tracks (disabled/enabled)
When it is disabled, the result after 10 seconds is as below, which is again different then the image above.

Logs attached. of last instance.
Checked with Option 1 - Titan; Same behaviour.

I'd say, bug found. Set to bug?

@briegel Am I correct when I say you see this bug as a low priority bug fix?

For me it's not a low priority bug because i use MP in the first instance for my music collection.
Due to too many unacceptable bugs in previous versions i still use MP1.2.3 on that system.
(i.e. not working rating, gapless playback, ASIO playback )
In MP 1.9 all these bugs have been fixed and so it's time for me to change to MP 1.9+ ;-)

This has to be some regression imo. Would be good if somebody could verify if this was working in MP 1.8. So we can search for commits that could have been broken it.

I can confirm it and the "bug" is found in the code.

Please test it. It needs to test with option "update similar track" is on.
