Problem:
When viewing My Music my accurately named folders (Artist\Album\File.mp3) show fine for the artist and album. However whenever I go into an album they show up as "unknown" for most albumns. Then when I press play, it shows the correct info in the now playing window and in the little mini now playering in the bottom left corner, but not in the my music view. (This is with the View set to share). When I switch the view to say albumns, most of my music dissapears. All the files have correct id3 tags. Does anyone know what the problem is/How to fix it?

If you are on the latest SVN it might be an issue with the new tag reader integration. Have you tried renaming your music database in the database folder and reimporting your music into the database? It might be a database issue. Do you have the option checked to scan the file for ID3 information if it is not found in the database?

to me it looks like that you didn't scan your music.
Do this in Configuration -> Music -> Music Database _> Update database ....

if your files are really tagged, then they should appear in the views.
Make sure that you have the following Check boxes checked:
Treat tracks in an individual folder as an album
    Scan albums for Various Artists

Also for me exactly the same.
As soon as I installed svn versions with the new integrated tag reader, all the new mp3 album titles became "unknown", but the track is recognized with the exact title in the now playing screen.
Tried to uninstall, reinstall and made a new database scanning but with no success.
The strange thing is that I tried the standalone version of the tagreader (2.9) and all the tracks are correctly recognized.
Will try to change the share name to see if it will somehow effective.

Maybe this is a misunderstanding which i had before too. It is as jawbroken already mentioned:
Rescanning database not always solves the problem since it not deletes the files. So try renaming your musicdatabase to .bak (or whatever) and update your musicdatabase in config again. See if it helps then...

Just tried what you suggested, but with no success.
Renamed musicdatabasev7.db3 to musicdatabasev7.db3.bak and made a new scan of the music database. No way.
By the way, I saw that before the integration of the new tagreader, during the database update the "updating tags" phase was pretty slow (4-5 minutes), but now if much much faster (5 seconds).
Could it be the reason of the bug?

I had the same issue. I think the problem is the MP3 tag. The tag does not have the name of the song. What you are seeing is the name of the file. When you try to update the database that song is unkown. Deleting the database file and you will have again the file names, but as soon as you try to use the database feature or play it now function the songs will be again unkown. You have to use a program to retag your mp3 files.

Sorry if the explanation is not very technical but it worked for me.

the log you've posted didn't contain anything related to a updtae of the music db.
you need to run the update first.

I fixed a bug in the Tagreader an hour ago.
Please test tommorow with the new SVN snapshot, that will be created tonight.
