Installation

Copy the DLL into the Mediaportal Window Plugin folder or use the mediaportal extension installer

Solving (apple trailer) playback issues:

There are several codec configurations that wil support apple quicktime playback.
Below are a couple of options:

* Quicktime + MediaLooks QuickTime Plugin
* SAF (customized mediaportal codec pack)

Other tools that can help in setting up your codecs:

* Preferred Filter Tweaker for Windows 7

Sorry guys there was a path problem in the first installer, it would place the new dll in plugins/ instead of plugins/Windows.

Thanks! This is one of my favorite plugins. Small question: do 5.1 trailers still work or is my setup broken (again )? Can't remember getting 5.1 in trailers for a loooong time.

Are you still working on the complete rewrite you talked about some time ago?

Raytestrak: Yes you should be able to 5.1 sound but not every trailer has it (i know The A-Team trailer has it.. try that one as a reference).
Currently my working codec setup is: MPC MP4 Splitter (I unregistered haali and registered all the splitters from the MPC Filter pack), MPC Video Decoder, FFDshow Audio Decoder

DieBagger: Yes still working on it, i might release some minor updates to the current My Trailers tho as it taking a long time (because i have so much different things to spent time on )

another bugfix is coming up btw that will allow the plugin to be a little smarter when getting the trailer/clip source. Seems like Apple has some weird naming conventions in their xml source sometimes (linking to files that don't exist because of a typo in the address)

armandp: just wanted to warn you that the plugin does not play any videos on windows 7 / vista.. in my case it's due to the VideoProxy: HttpListener requires administrative privileges.

exception is raised with "Access is denied" when i try to play a video..

Did a bit of research on the googlenet and seems like it's a common problem, and i *think* HttpListener could be replaced by TcpListener.. Or, look at OnlineVideos, that one can play all the trailers fine, but has few problems when grabbing movie details.
