Ongoing My Video freeze at 22mins (2 Viewers)

...am new to MediaPortal but love the setup already. I have my kids dvds on HD however every movie (on local HD or network shared folder on another drive) stop after about 20mins...movie simply freezes (video and sound)...exact same spot each movie each time. Not a file quality issue. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
I experienced something similar, but with another Software (Sceneo TVC).

This is definately a networking issue.
I fixed this by playing around with the transmission settings (there are some throughput settings in the System-Options) of my Nvidia network controller.

I had a similar problem where all movies would come to a horrible stuttery halt after about 40 minutes. No end of driver updateting and settings changes fixed it. This was also the case if I played the movies in windows media player.

In the end I resolved it by installing Reclock (it's the first hit if you google 'reclock').

I think because the playback rate is slightly altered due to the monitor refresh rate there is some nasty cumulative offset that seems to manifest itself by the video coming to a halt. I guess the time taken for the video to halt is a function of how much memory the system has available but, to be honest, I never really got to the bottom of it. I just excepted that it worked and moved on!

At the same time I also had stuttering problems and I seem to remember finding some directx update files on one of these forums that helped. This may have contributed to the video coming to a halt but I can't remember..
