Synopsis:: -

The directory that I use for Video, contains only home movies that I have downloaded of my video camera at home. It is broken up into some sub-directorys for sorting purposes. In one of my subdirectories, I have accident tried to change the 'Sort by' and ended up on 'actors' or somesuch, and it went off into la la land and never returned. I have no access to any of the menu items there anymore. There are no files listed, and nothing is highlighted. All I can do is push the 'back' button on my remote to return to the main menu view. I have had a look in some of the xml files and the databases, to try to sort somethign out, but no luck. I have restarted everything, but it keeps coming back into My Videos on that view which is hung. All help appreciated. I am willing to hack into xml or whatever it takes to get my videos back.

Thanks In Advance.
Peter.

    Hi,

    strange. Try looking into the mediaportal.xml for:
    Code:
    <section name="movies">
      ....
      <entry name="shareview0">0</entry>
      .....

    And look, if all shareviewX are set to "0".

    HTH, Flip.

    Thanks heaps. That was part one of the story. Part two involved deleting a reference in that entry to a starting view which was at the end of the file. All good now.

    Thanks again.

    :D
