Hi, I'm having a similar problem with Matroska files. They play on WMP11, but in MP they just don't. It worked ok with the 2.2.9 and now this is happening with 2.3.0... Can anyone help out?

This is my error.log:

Hello, got same problem but only on some MKV with h264 (I use coreavc)

These videos work well on MP RC3 without any patch.

I've try to install the last patch of the rc3 and the problem appear......

Trying with the final release and the problem is here to.

I had the same issue upgrading to 0.2.3.0 in that some of my mkvs would not play. Turned out to be any mkv that includes imbedded subtitles would not play with the latest release. I reinstalled vsfilter (subtitle filter) and configured haali media splitter to autoload vsfitler which corrected my problem.

yeah i used to use core but not anymore since i cant get it to work with the new mp build

Sure but I have an xp2800 so, HD video are very difficult to play.....Ffdshow is less optimized than Coreavc so, I have to use Coreavc.

Wish the problem will be resolve in a next release.

I also started having problems when I switched from 0.2.0.4 to 0.2.3.0+TVE3. Most .mkv and .ogm simply wont play, I get the same
"PlaylistPlayer: *** unable to play - [filename] - skipping track!"
But the play fine in GSpot

Is it MePo:s subtitle handling that is the problem? I'll try to reinstall vobsub and configure Haali as uncertainty suggested. Have you other guys solved the issue?

Thanks "uncertainty"! In haali media splitter config I changed "Autoload VSFilter" to YES (it was previously on NO), and this did the trick for me! The .MKV-files that previously did not play in MP, now plays, with subtitles!

I hope this is useful for more people!
