Hi, all the thumbnails work fine with my mp so far. The only problem is that i can not get a Thumbnail for the folders that carries my movies. I put a folder.jpg file into it - it works well with the My Pictures section but i can not get it to work with the my videos main folders.

Any idea what my problem might be? It works well for the folders inside but not for the main folders.

Thanx

Do you mean a folder that has a bunch more folders in it???

Not sure if it will pick it up if there is not actually a movie in there

    It works within though.
Just with the Area where it shows all my sources it wont appear.

I want the same thing - a thumbnail on the folder itself. I have a "TV Shows" folder that contains several TV show folders (News Radio, Band of Brothers, X-Files, etc). Each of those folders contain the episodes for those shows. I want to be able to associate a thumbnail image to each of the TV show folders.

I fingered it out. You have to put a jpg (and it apparently MUST be a jpg) called "folder.jpg" into the folder for which you want the icon.

I've never had any problems with this - from 0.2.3 through 1.0 RC4.

As mentioned, you need a folder.jpg for each folder you want an image for and this works (for me) at multiple folder depth levels.

You can also assign an image to any media file by naming it exactly the the same as the media file. Example: "my movie.avi" with an accompanying "my movie.jpg"

    -Kid's Shows
    ......- folder.jpg

    ......- Bob the Builder
    ............- folder.jpg

    ............- the big dig.avi
    ............- the big dig.jpg
