Hi

I have seen various discussions about the latest version of MyFilms and where to get it.
I have decided to create this thread to make it easier. The owner(s) of this forum section can feel free to update or close or un-sticky when required.

Latest Version for MP1.2:
Update 19.09.2011 - My Films 5.1 is now released:
V5.1.0 for MP1.2

Latest Version for MP1.1:

Description:
This version includes all bugfixes reported so far. Be aware, that it requires skinupdates, if you update from 4.8.0c
Skin known to support 4.9.x versions:
Blackglass, Blackglass Nova, aMPed, StreamedMP (Mod)

Where do I have to copy the file mesfilms.dll? I have just installed the file MyFilms_v4.8.0.mpi, but I dont know where to copy the file mesfilms.dll for the update to 4.9.2.2b and I hope mesfiles.dll doesnt mean, its only for french language, does it?

Can you help me?

cool thank you, but now I have another problem here I think. I use the Ant Movie Catalog and when I use the database in the MediaPortal, I dont get the information! There are everywhere sign like: "#category, #country, #length, #actors and #description" Before my update, it was working with the same Ant Movie Catalog XML file!


Can you help me, that my database is working again?

This is due to required skinchanges for versions 4.9.x.
Skins for 4.8.x don't work anymore - so checkout for a skin that supports the latest version.
Blackglass, BlackglassNova and aMPed are known to work, also there are skinfiles in the forum for StreamedMP.

Can we use MyFilms 4.9.4.5 in MP 1.2beta or should we wait for 5.0beta?

Hi,
no, you can't use 4.x versions with MP1.2beta, as those are not compatible.
MyFilms 5 will fully support MP1.2 and is currently in internal testing - so unfortunately you'll have to wait ... but we hope to get the MyFilms 5 beta out soon...
