I countinued in Zipperzips footsteps and started on a quicktime trailer plugin.

This plugin is far from finished. And is extremly slow. It requires the latest quicktime player installed. And it does not have the same features as myTrailers, like posters and plot and cast. Hopefully in a future version.

Give me some feedback on how it's (not)working

Please try it, and download the source aswell to fiddle around with.
I won't be working a lot with this since other projects take of much o my spare time. So please feel free to contribute in any way.

If any of you are getting a black screen that says Missing or corrupt file: and that’s it... This means you have not installed QuickTime 7 correctly or don't have it installed at all.

I would like to thank DarkMedusa for the hard work he has put into this project. I am looking forward for him to continue to work on this or someone else to pick this project up.

Darkmedusa... I would like to know if this code is based off the source code that Bradsjm wrote for Meedio or is this new code that you came up with yourself.

I would like everyone to take a look at this thread over in the meedio forums. If someone keeps working on this project, I am hoping we would be able to have all the features of his plugin!

The code for this plugin is, as mentioned in the myTrailers thread, based on Bradsjms meedio code. Zipperzips code for myTrailers was also the basis for starting on this plugin.

I hope you guys didn't mind. I added all the Copyright notes I could find.

Is the meedio's plugin code open source? If not, did you ask the guy for permission? If not, you should do that, otherwise you have stolen his code.
A suggestion: Implement this feature into the existing MyTrailers plugin. Would be a better idea than having another plugin doing basically the same. I'd be uber-happy to put that into CVS then.

I agree that we don't need another trailer plugin. So I'd love to see this implemented in Zipperzips myTrailers.

Sweet zipper! That would be awesome if you would help out on this project. I have talked to the guy who wrote this code. It is open source and you can freely download it. I approached him because after looking at what he has done with his meedio pluing, wanted it within MP. I think after a couple of you guys get together and start working on this code, it will be one of the best plugins for MP!!

Yepp. I got a message from the meedio plugin creator saying he'd love Mediaportal to have this ability. So we are free to use his code.

Zipperzip: I was hoping you would take it from here. I'll be busy the next month with other stuff, so I won't be able to contribute much.

I hope I will come back stronger down the path, to contribute on this evercool project.
