The following is installed on the PC:
    - Latest DivX codec from divx.com
    - vsfilter 2.38 from sf.net
    - Latest Haali
    - vsfilter added to "Movie Post Processing", the "auto loading" version.
    - Subtitles are not enabled by default in MediaPortal.

    1. Enter "My Movies" (or is it called "My Videos" in english?) and start a .mkv with embedded subtiltes - plays ok. The file is named "Finding Nemo - HD.mkv" in MediaPortal.log

    2. Start the movie "Shrek 2.avi" which is an .AVI(DivX) with external subtitles - plays ok.

    3. Start the movie "Ice Age 2.avi" which is an .AVI(DivX) WITHOUT any subtitles - does NOT play. The log simply says:
"VideoPlayerVMR9: could not connect Vobsub's input video pin..."

    4. All movies play ok in Windows Mediaplayer

There's also an exception when starting the .MKV at "2008-05-04 23:12:17.230078" but this does not have any impact on the functionality.

Edit: Just as a side note I can say that this used to work when I was running a SVN from the beginning of April on XP, before I moved to Vista. I know that I can probably solve this by switching to ffdshow but I simply don't like ffdshow.

Solved the problem by not selection the "auto loading" version of DirectVobsub, the other one works!

    No bug.
