    Hello.
I have some issues with MyPictures Plugin. I have set CoverFlow as default view mode in my pictures folders. See attached screenshot 3. But if I first time enter a subfolder I don't see anything as on screenshot 1. I first have to go to the menu and change the lisview mode. There is "List" selected also this should be "CoverFlow", I think. See screenshot 2. If I enter this Subfolder again I have "CoverFlow" view as expected... So I change the deafault view mode to "List", but this did not change anything. I switch back to "CoverFlow" then...

As a retired pro photographer I have 500.000 pictures laying around my network so MyPictures is one of the most important plugins to me. It's really annoying to change the view of every subfolder (there are thousands of them...)

I've done a Debug- Mode Start with watchdog and collected these screenshots and some logs. They are attached also.

Same problem appears if I use any other Skin I can test like Backdrop or Maya...

    Edit:
If I enter the same folder with Backdrop Skin V0.1 I got a playlist view as on schreenshot 4. On every newer version of backdrop skin (we're on V0.7 right now) I got the same empty screen as with Default Skin like on screenshot 1

    I can confirm the issue.
To help us confirm issues it is nice if the steps to reproduce are simplified and step by step. We need this text for the mantis entry, and it is a big help for us to have them.

    To reproduce:
    1. Open MediaPortal Configuration.
    2. Go to Pictures -> Picture Folders
    3. Click Add.
    4. Add a new folder and set default layout to coverflow (see screenshot in first post).
    5. Close Configuration. Start MP.
    6. Go to My pictures and open the folder just added in configuration. Notice that default layout is NOT coverflow (bug).

    Edit: Added to mantis: http://mantis.team-mediaportal.com/view.php?id=3585

I do not have time to test but I am fairly sure this is a trivial thing.

    Can you test the attached?

    Mike,

This did not work for me - I ended up in an icon view - but I need to do more testing with current SVN first.

Where are all the view layouts per folder stored, so I can reset everything? Is this the pictures database?

There is a folders database that can just be deleted to reset everything (that will reset music and video shares too)

    AW: MyPictures View Mode Issue

    Hello.
Many thanks for looking at this.
The new dll works much better as before. The Icon View appears only at really first time. And it's only on pictures "root" directory. This is not 100% perfect but something like 99.9% . For me this works, thanks.

OK this is total blind coding as I simply don't have time to test this today but try the attached

    Hello.
The second version did not do it here. Same behaviour as original...

Actually, problem is just that FACADE layout and SHARE default view are not linked together properly. Problem is apparent for Album, Filmstrip and CoverFlow default views.

    To test the binary:
    - rename or delete FolderDatabase3.db3 in databases directory
    - replace Configuration.exe with the one from attachment (backup old one).
    - open configuration and edit the pictures share
    - make sure default view is set to coverflow (it might not be because indexes were off before)
    - save share and save configuration
    - test in GUI

Patch is attached. I hope the binary will work since I compiled against current SVN and not beta revision.

    Hi,

Binary seems to work fine here, but then again I am already on latest SVN. I didn't do extensive testing for problems, but it all seems fine at a quick check.

Could you please commit once the fix is approved?
