MyPrograms + allgame lookup (1 Viewer)

First off, new to MP + MrProg plugin + - these people deserve a medal for free dev!!

Secondly, I've tried using the internet lookup function on a set of SNES and C64 ROMS, but getting no results. Quick search reveals others having similar problems. Seems to be with the new release of MP? Is the dev of MyProgs still about? Is it allgame getting all corporate on people's a**ses and being awkward with db access?

any help would be appreciated.

P.S. Is there a MyWashingUp Plugin?

Well, that's the problem. Mine's not doing it, but you could give it a go. Check this link for a "how to"

It would be useful if you could feed back on your progress to make sure it's not just me being stoopid!

hey guys.. I'm also a huge fan of my programs - unfortunatly it doesn't seem to be developed/supported anymore... it's a shame because it's a really usful program (glad to see at least I'm not the only one using it)

I haven't had any luck with the internet search.. but I have had great luck with the scraper that grabs the game name/info/pictures from specified directories...

when i said the internet lookup, I meant the 'scraper.' Is there a function to get pics from local drives...and if so..... anyone know where I can get a full set of commodore 64 rom pics in goodnames format???? (there's gotta be one full set in the world!)

Shame about the allgames search not working, would have been good to have full details for my faves.

i have only setup a mame section so far.. but the scraper was able to pull icons, and some game info from specified directories... but I'm not sure how to do the "full details" yet.

As for the commodore 64 rom pics... I have no idea... I'm not sure if it violates copyright laws to grab pictures.. but if it is than we shouldn't talk about it in this forum.

Yes it would be cool to use the allgames search.. maybe it does work and we just don't know how to use it
