MyPrograms Issue (blank entry) (1 Viewer)

I've been using MP for a few days now, and love it! I have a few issues though, starting with this one:

I'm using the MyPrograms plugin, and I've set up a couple of emulators, one as a MAME Direct Importer, and a couple as Directory-Cache. The emulators are launched correctly, but the issue I'm having is that when I choose a program, I get a single blank entry that I have to select before it gives me the list of files to run. Does anyone know what this is used for, and better yet, how to remove it?

hey blindman... all I can tell you is that "my programs" seems to be very sensitive about quotes and what is in the "starting directory" - if you fiddle enough and read the wiki about "my programs" you might get that to work better... if you need me to I can detail how I have mine setup, but I can't right now because I'm not at home.

Thanks for your response - I tried messing with those settings, to no avail. I also read through the Wiki for My Programs and couldn't find anything to help. Is anyone else seeing this issue? I'm using the Stable release and the Razor skin. Shewless, if you could describe your configuration, that might help. It looks to me like it's a hierarchical menu (with nothing else in the base folder) In order to describe the behavior a bit better, here's how I have to launch games:

MP -> Select "Games" (Renamed from My Programs) -> Select Emulator (doesn't matter which, and I have like 5-6 configured -> (.. or _____ ) -> Select game

The ()'s are around the problem area. Basically I have two choices -- blank entry or .. -- in order to get to the next level, I choose the blank entry.

I started digging around in the skins, but didn't see anything pertinent.

If people could just confirm that this is the behavior they're seeing, I will know if I should dig into the source (hopefully it's avail for the plugin) or not.

well.. I use the "spawn" method so that MP is still running in the background (ie the external display still works, and someday I hope the music will still play).

I had it working regularly before but I deleted that setup in favour of the spawn method.

Note that in the file launch window there is NO startup directory or launching application. I believe you can launch these regularly without using the spawn file...

I also noticed that if you aren't seeing what you are expecting in My programs, you can go to "switch view" on the left side of MP and then select files.. even if that's what was already selected... good luck!

Aha! Thanks so much - it was the Files view that I was missing - I hadn't played with the views yet. I think I was on Manufacturers or something.

I'll try out the spawn setup, although what I have right now works pretty well.
